Mantrid: I'm using Blender exclusively these days. I'll consider making a tutorial; The biggest hurdle is time though. :?

Drive Safely: Thanks. :)

"umad": I wouldn't worry about the pretentious slogan; Ontario's was something like, "We'll make you feel incredible!" once... That's a lot of pressure! I have references saved off for all of the provinces, but I think I'll be doing a separate pack for Canadian assets just to keep things organized. BC should be easier than Newfoundland & Labrador – Most of theirs have four flags now.

There is a saying by Jeremy Clarkson: "Looking good is more important than looking where you're going."

Something that should apply to all maps. Having these assets available will support that quote!

That man is a poet, truly.

-----

Even after making use of a bunch of ATS' built-in tiled textures, this still took me the better part of 5 hours. Most of that was vertex painting. At the moment, it's pretty cumbersome to colour something after you've painted the shading. On the bright side, it saved me tons of space on the texture for bits and bobs on the other variants of the sign.

Now I'm anxious for SCS to get to CO so I can compare and see how I did. :P

3-digit interstate (M1-1) signs:

I'm undecided whether to correct the scale of the auxiliary plaques or leave them matching the SCS ones. :|

Edit:

Here's a look at the Colorado sign in-game:

I'm also working on another variant. I'm still not happy with the wooden post texture on this one. :?

Grade percent warning signs. 7 Percent for x number of miles (example). Restricted speed signs on the grades. Typically 25 MPH or 35 MPH for trucks Colorado and California. Does not matter if the truck is empty or loaded. Would place warning slow trucks signs as well.

Would it be possible to make a weigh station open and closed signs so they would show open and closed at appropriate times. Not all weigh stations are open in California US 58.

Caution Rutted Pavement. I remember the ruts was very bad I-15 south of Prime around 1976. Pulling up the 16 mile grade south of Prime. California did a pavement test used recycled glass in the asphalt around 1976. Back the truck down about 35 MPH.

Please fix the Colorado State Sign.

Great project.

Signs like these would be awesome and make the ride much more realistic. US Interstates are Usually between 4-6% grade some up to 7% but none over that on the Interstate hwys only. Stuff like these type of signs.

I haven't had much of a chance to work on this pack lately, but I wanted to show off a bit of tech that worked out nicely. The map modders among us may have noticed that there's only one sign font in the game, despite there being a number of FHWA font series used on signs in the US (often as many as three of them on a single sign). I managed to fanagle a nearly-automated solution for generating bitmap fonts based on some stuff hiding in the 18WoS:AA base files ...and a bit of mad hackery in Ruby.

These look a little closer to the real thing now. :D
