I honestly never noticed that before. Only difference is I don't have steel.sii in the mod, which is why the front rear axle isn't affected, but I do have front.sii I'll add steel.sii to the mod, but it'll mean that even the AI semis will have those wheels on the rears. I think I added the front.sii was so that the rear steers on the long gas and fuel trailers would also have smarty wheels.

I wish I knew how to get the Smarty front wheels on the front axle, though.

I've been working on dropping the poly count of my trailer wheels. Here's the mesh for an 11R22.5 wheel I'm working on. The poly count is ~3.6k tri's vs my current ~7k.

I'll be leaning more heavily on normal maps to get the same (or better) level of apparent detail.

Awesome! :D :D :D

I'll admit, I stopped replacing the wheels on all the SCS trailers with your wheels a while ago because I'd get about 5 fps drop from all the AI trucks. Glad you're making a low poly version because I'd definitely like to use your wheels again on the SCS trailers. ;)

I made a small update overnight which includes the steel wheels I've been working on as well as some new tires.

I had to temporarily drop workshop support for game versions 1.2-1.6.2 because the Workshop Uploader is being a dink.

Here are the basic options that were added:

Each wheel has a dull, gloss, and chrome variant.

Also, remember that you can filter the upgrade shop by package. ;)
