While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Re: [1.4] Daimler Drivetrain Revision
If you want to improve the stopping power using the engine brake, you need to modify the number in the engine file. If you want to add a retarder to a specific step, it is the first number in the auxiliary lines.

Ok thanks
Re: [1.4] Daimler Drivetrain Revision
What about making kick down only work with stages 2 and 3 of the engine brake, like Volvos in ETS2?
Also, why do these still have retarders if the animation has been moved? They make the wrong noise when cruise control reduces speed.

I have a question. Will you add detroit diesel 60 series, or DD 8v92?
Sorry for my bad english, I'm not a native speaker, but I do my best to make it look proper

I don't think he will, the Cascadia and the Western Star 49X don't have these available

Rookie is correct. I won't be adding any older engines.

You just need to open each engine's .sii and change thesamuelchoi wrote: ↑14 Feb 2021 06:08 Can anyone help me to work this good mod with kriechbaum's 3.5 engine sound mod?
Code: Select all
@include "sound.sui"
Code: Select all
@include "sound_dd13.sui"
Code: Select all
@include "sound_dd15.sui"
The easiest way for me to do it was opening all DD15 engine files into NotePad++ and use the replace feature and clicking on "replace on all opened files" and then the same for the DD13 files.
Hope that helps

Hey @galimim, it's not your fault, but the 400hp, 1750lbft DD13's torque curve is wrong. Daimler has like, no variant specific torque curves or anything, nor contact information. But yeah. The engine you configured actually makes 494 horsepower at 1650 RPM. So obviously, there's a huge torque dropoff by the time the integrated DD13 reaches 1650RPM since it only makes 400hp, but we don't know the shape of it, and we don't know how long the torque plateau is. Ugh. I'm gonna send an email to a local Freightliner dealer to see if I can get any information.
