International LT Sun Visors Fixed v1.0 [1.40+]

#1 Post by iceCat3003 » 23 Nov 2021 02:05

This mod aligns the International LT's sun visor interior models to the exterior models, for some reason both interior models are misaligned, and the painted sun visor is even tilted forward by 12 degrees, as shown in the picture bellow:
Original alignment on the left and fixed on the right

The difference in-game:

I didn't bother with a comparison for the chrome sun visor because is pretty much unnoticeable

I really wonder why SCS always uses two completely seperate models for interior and exterior. It would not only be far easier to use the same model (except maybe remove a few edges where possible to cut down on the amount of polys for whichever one they don't need as much detail for, if that is even the goal), but it would also prevent all of these bugs.

I guess it has to do with the flares, if they used the same model the lights would light into the cab like on the 49x.

In that case, have a duplicate model with slight differences to also cut down on the amount of polys instead of making entirely new models that have some significant inaccuracies.

The most critical mistake with the visor is the Mercedes MP4.
From the inside, it covers the window much more than from the outside.
I translate via Google Translate. Sometimes he does it badly. I beg understand and forgive. :geek:

Yup, same for the Volvo FH, but in the FH even the side mirrors are too close to the body compared to the exterior models and the front mirror is also incorrect from inside.
