Updated Peterbilt 362
Back in 2016 someone made this: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... earchtext= for American Truck Simulator. But over time the game has broken the mod and the creator appears to no longer be interested in modding and has abandoned the mod. I decided to take the liberty to fix all the current issues the mod has.
Changes
1. Fixed LOD tires becoming red due to missing/obsolete texture files
2. Fixed all the textures in general
3. Made collisions actually make sense
4. Added a 2nd LOD model
5. Added a lightmask to the vehicle
6. Added trailer cables (no pole, I was too lazy to model one out)
7. Pulls double trailers
8. Re-did the Def files
9. Added spawn-ratios for New Mexico, Oregon, Nevada, and Washington
Screenshots:
1. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... 1852707665
2. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... 1778471824
Now the question is: should I upload my fixed version to the steam workshop, or find a different source? I will make my version public once I have feedback on were to upload my fixed version.
Thank you for any feedback

Yep, unfortunately he abandoned all of his mods on Steam. Personally I don't see an issue with fixing someone's busted mods and giving credit where credit is due, besides he'll never update them. Keith Davis has updated some of his stuff and someone updated the Star Car as far as I know with credits in the readme.

Can you tell me where to find the Western Star? I’ve been looking since 1.35 came out without success.

Re: Updated Peterbilt 362
@BK Vissers, he has a Facebook group I think and his name is Rene Nate.

@BK Vissers Which Western Star you lookin' for? So far I've came across a older 4800 Twin-Steer from RTA mods, a 4800-SB that's alot newer with the cement mixer & logging bodies attached, and the 5700-XE a.k.a "Optimus Prime".

Re: Updated Peterbilt 362
I was looking for an updated (dx11 compatible) version of the 4900FA from steam workshop. Rene Nate has his own style and preferences (he stretches most chassis, for instance) and that is the opposite of my preferences, so no disrespect intended but his mods are not for me. Also I don’t believe he fixes the UV issues that cause major issues in DX11.
I’d look at that 4800SB, if it’s available.

Re: Updated Peterbilt 362
@BK Vissers you're right, he doesn't. I pointed out a shadow error on the back of the cab of his 387 edit, and he didn't really know how to fix it.

Re: Updated Peterbilt 362
@dredick I know, I’ve tried multiple mods from him and all were unfortunately containing many errors and other issues. I suspect he wants to play with something, fixes it just so that works for him and does not pursue the rest of the errors. Which is perfectly his right to do. I am not complaining. I just wish I could find what I’d enjoy using.
