Municipal Police Traffic Pack (update v1.12.1 | 19 Apr 2022)

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

Municipal Police Traffic Pack (update v1.12.1 | 19 Apr 2022)

#1 Post by gabenz88 » 24 Jul 2020 10:03

Hi all,

Some of you may be familiar with this mod as it was released about two months ago, but I decided to make a topic for the mod, so you can post your questions, ideas, etc... here.

You can download it from the Steam Workshop:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... 2111420509

Because of people who want to make easy money by uploading it to other sites, I made a decision: there won't be any non-workshop version.

Now back to the mod's description:

This mod adds police cars/liveries to almost every city in California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho, Colorado and Wyoming.
The cars have various wheel, rambar/pushbar and lightbar combinations .
The mod removes the original police cars from the states made by SCS and replaces them with the cars in this mod, however the SCS Taurus with the open door can appear in the random event accident.

For owners of Special Transport DLC:
Front escort cars have been replaced in the forementioned states with state police variants from this mod.

The mod replaces the parked US Border Patrol cars on the US side of the border with US CBP Field Operations cars (Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer '13 and '16, Dodge Charger '12 and '15).

On the other side of the border (Canada) the original CBSA Charger had been replaced with CBSA Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer '13, Dodge Charger '12 and '15.
The original RCMP/GRC vehicles had also been replaced with RCMP/GRC Ford Crown, Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer '16, Dodge Charger '06, Chevrolet Tahoe '15.

All the needed cars are included in the main mod since v1.12.0, therefore Municipal Police Traffic Pack is required.

@gabenz88

Good! I agree with your decision 100 percent! People steeling mods without even giving credit and prentending it's theirs isn't fair to people like you who put in hours, days and even months of hardwork.
I'm also glad that unlike some others didn't decide to punish everybody by removing their mods altogether because of people steeling them. I wish many of them could have done what you did.
But it's your work and you have every right to share or not to share and take action against people who steel mods. Just saying there's a right and a wrong way of doing things. Nice mod! Thanks for the hardwork you put in to it

@Houssem Manssouri: if you had read the first post, the mod author has said there will not be a non-Steam link.

Just want to say thank you for sharing this mod, really appreciate the authentic state and local police cruisers.

While I'm here, any chance of creating some variants of the Mexican Federal Police (Policia Federal) to use in Mexican map mods?

I don't think so. At least not in the near future.
