Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

@DW1899 Yes please try. That truck needs to go, maybe replace it with something else? I await the non NPR version, as even though it exists in the US, rarely, I have never seen a single one in all my life. It spawns everywhere on 1.40...

I would not completely remove it, as it comes with ingame company skins and adds some liveliness to the world.

I agree on decreasing the spawn ratio though.
One thing I would like to see completely removed is the small busses you never see in USA (or replace them by proper american busses)

Changelog (3/21/21):
-Added Montana Expansion support
-Tweaked some vehicle spawn rates (street sweeper, Ford Transit, Isuzu NPR, Lincoln Town Car, Ford F-350, Ford F-650, there may have been some others)
-Tweaked overall spawn rates

@Lolsmurf @koolizz This update should drastically reduce the rate at which they spawn. Just because of the way traffic spawns, there are some limitations, and I can only do so much, but it should help.

I'm a little surprised you don't see them, I see them all the time where I am. Moreover, keep in mind, the spawnrate is determined by how many are up for sale in a given state, and it doesn't even take into account the Chevrolet and GMC branded NPRs. However, despite all this, I agree, the spawnrate does need to be decreased, and I hope this helps.

In regards to the buses, at least in the latest versions, they are mostly completely removed. The one exception is the bus I think you're referring to which only spawns in Arizona. The livery SCS made for it is based off a real life company hat only operates in Arizona which does use those buses. Originally, I set it so they wouldn't spawn, as I didn't believe they were used either, but after some research, I did have to correct it.

Fantastic work man. Can I ask, what traffic vehicle parameter are you tweaking for the NPR spawn ratios? Is it the "traffic.transit_16" that is the NPR? I am trying to understand how these traffic spawn rates work in ATS.

I would love for those sliver buses to be gone. They spawn way to much. One out of 3 cars.

@joschac2 I assume you're referring to the MCI Greyhound buses. I'm not sure what's causing them to spawn in your game, unless you're playing in a state that the mod doesn't support, as they've been completely removed from every state that I do support. Even in the event you are playing in an unsupported state, buses should be a relatively small portion of traffic. I suspect there's some other mod causing that.

@DW1899 Man that NPR is hopeless haha. I set all its spawn rates to 0.00 and still it spawns everywhere? It just will not go.

@koolizz Some vehicles will just spawn no matter what you do, oddly enough. I find, at least in my mod, it's especially true in Utah. The only thing that can be done to help is multiply the spawnrates of other vehicles.

The concept is great with data driven spawn ratios, but there is a side effect when this is enabled with other AI traffic packs. They vastly overwhelm the spawn ratios of this pack, so you hardly see the default AI vehicles anymore.

For example, if you enable SCS Stock company Vans from Steam Workshop (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... =627561981), you end up with almost 80/90% of "cars" as these vans only. The company vans have ratio weighting of around 0.7, while many default AI cars in this pack have much lower ratios of 0.1 or less.

I haven't looked in detail how many default AI traffic vehicles have their default spawn ratios not listed in the country traffic definitions, but at least this is what I have seen in my drives with this mod on. Cars variety will also improve once more AI traffic packs are updated to 1.40 and enabled.
