While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

@magicko84 All I did was zip the extracted files to a temporary folder and then pointed the mods studio at the zip file.

@Trucker_71 So the folder where I extracted the files I have to compress it for the game to read. Did I get it right?

@magicko84 The Mods Studio is essentially looking for a mod, which means a zip file or an scs file. So you need to give it a zip to find. In other words, the contents of the extracted DLC needs to zipped. Wherever you have the extract go to where the def folder and the vehicle folder etc. are and pack the contents into a zip file.
I mentioned a temporary folder only as a place to put the zip. If you have the folder as part of the zip file Mods Studio will not see the actual "mod"

@meistroracer88 If you go to the Mods Studio 2 discord, there is a whole channel with tutorial videos mostly covering how to use MS2 for skinning. Once you've done it once a couple times the program will become second nature.

Boy it gets worse. I am trying to skin the Mack Anthem and I getting these. I have no idea how either. I am using Paintnet. I am doing a simple paintjob on the hood and I am getting these.

It shows up on the bottom front right side too. I didn't take pic of it for some reason. I can not explain.

How do i fix this?

@meistroracer88 You need to go into the def folder and edit the .sii file.
...\def\vehicle\truck\mack.anthem\paint_job\<your skin name>.sii and change the line... alternate_uvset: true.

no, he has to learn to use the new skin system, since the New Scania release, every new truck (except the VNL but im not sure) uses the new skinning system wich means alternate_uv is obsolet and doesnt exist anymore for said new trucks

the "roof spoiler" is an accessory and has a separate template that can be painted, you need to tell the game to use said template or a 4x4px image that is black/transparent if you want to use the base color of the truck, same for the sideskirts

I went and check in one of my zip files. alternate_uvset is already True
