Making Map For ETS 1?

I just want to make map for ETS 1 and I'm actually struggling to find tutorials and documents for map making in ETS1 i hope that anyone had a lot of experience with ETS1 can give me some tips on making a map.

The second part is almost no one actually playing ets 1 now. So why would you create something for this game?

I have a really old pc, with a Athlon X2 BE-2300, believe it or not.

For the fun of it? And to have this for oneself? Do you really believe all that modding is done to please the "I want it so badly" crowd? It is mostly done for oneself, and if you feel like it, you share it.

Chances that somebody clearly remembers are low. The editor and the definition file process has changed a lot in the last eight years. And: Nobody would give you a full walkthrough even if he could. Would afford way too much time and effort. Map modding is 10% searching for info and 90% self-teaching. But to do it without any guidelines is very hard, and all the old forums where info from the heyday of ETS 1 was accumulated are drop-dead, now. When I started this for ETS 1, almost all I had was an old tutorial for "Haulin", and some posts in now gone forums.

And I never did anything from scratch, which is harder because you have to do a lot of definition file work. To teach oneself this stuff, like creating companies and cities, without tutorial, just by examples from the base, is probably kinda error-prone. But this is only a guess, I never did so.

I know some chinese forums of the time that still had some informations like bbs.18wos.org and some people on that forum like HNRRAN (which is currently making CTS7 based on ETS2) and even now they are still alive But i just don't know exactly what tools to use.

Even though it is not exactly ETS1, But I can still find some informations on 18 Wheels of Steel, But I think the concept is the same, because it is all the early scs games at that era.

That site gave me some good informations on map making on ETS 1, It is enough to get it started, but no clue on the tools they used

It is the fact that I want to do a remake to HNRRAN's CTS1, don't know if you guys know it or not, but it is China Truck Simulator, which is based on ETS1.
