Old Mods

#1 Post by lassegotland » 02 Mar 2021 10:10

Hi Truckers
I am a streamer and thought I would stream euro truck.
But as you know, they threw away all the old mods because they thought that I will not play this again when ETS 2 came.
So now to my little wonder, there is someone who knows where to find old mods for ETS.

Well from a quick duckduckgo search, the first result was these:
http://18wos.org/mods/euro-truck-simulator1/

I have no idea how good/bad they are though.

Hi, I'm new to ETS 1 and I'm looking to add some mods. Has anyone tried the link above? Do they work?

cheers,

I just downloaded several mods from the link above, thank you.

I have extracted them to my ETS program file and put the SCS files in the ETS folder, but when i load the game, none of them appear, the showroom still has the standard trucks that come with the game, and nothing else.

What have i done wrong or forgot to do?

Wrong folder. You got to create a folder called "mod", in your "Euro Truck Simulator" folder, and to move the mods therein. But not in the same named program folder, rather that one in "Documents".

Something like "...\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator\mod".

thanks for your help Reinhard.

I just found an existing folder in my computer ...\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator\mod

it was empty. I have now moved the SCS file for each mod into this folder. Do i need to put anything else in there?

Thanks for your help guys. I d/l a heap of mods from the second post and some of them work great, some of them do nothing and some of them crash the game! The joy of old links. :)

Anyway, I've pretty much figured out what works and what doesn't and deleted accordingly. The only remaining drama is the Scania BDF tandem mod; I love the trucks, but when this mod is added, it crashes the game every time I apply for a job at Eurocargo. Any idea which SCS is causing it? I suspect it is company or cargoes???
