Frosty Winter Weather Mod v5.0 [Upd: 06 Dec 2023]

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Spotted a bug, this mod turns the steak restaurant in McCall, ID red due to a missing texture error.

Re: Frosty Winter Weather Mod v3.0 [Upd: 04 Dec 2020]
I just tried this mod for the first time and I'm really impressed. Really well done and (in NW Washington and ProMods BC anyways), there aren't very many areas that have the terrain coloring issue caused by SCS/ProMods that I've noticed, and even those areas aren't too immersion breaking. I'll definitely be trying out the Spring version come March or so, I'm excited to try out ETS2 Frosty Winter when it gets updated for 1.39.

oldmanclippy - Thank you
koolizz - Yep, even Promods are using terrain colouring now but not nearly as much as SCS, I was really hoping for a solution to this before Frosty was released this winter but it was not to be, maybe 1.40, who knows.

FYI - if you are getting "streaking" (looks almost like a solid light beam of snow) visually when snowing heavily, look at your def/vehicle/truck/[truck_name_here_]/interior folder and adjust your glass.sui file(s) and all entries with these settings in them to have a range of:
It isn't a problem with this mod, this mod just exposes an area in some mod trucks that needs tweaked...I have had to update several doing this. Most use the SCS default range and don't fine tune it to their cabin length/seat position measurements. You may need to tweak slightly but 17 seems to be the safe side of the range.
Code: Select all
drop_size_minimum: 0.010
drop_size_maximum: 0.017

It is compatible with ProMods Canada, at the very least.
There is a patch file on grimes' Wordpress site for those of us that play with ProMods Canada.
I can't comment on the other mods that are being asked about as I do not use them.
