There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

I like this mod for ETS2. Thanks for adapting it.
I have a question, though. When winter is over, do you deactivate the mod? Or is it triggered by calendar?

Yes, you have to deactivate the Mild Winter mod.

Re: Mild Winter Weather Mod v1.0
unfortunately, the game engine doesn't appear to do "seasons". I think if you don't mod anything, the conditions sit at midsummer the same as when you start.
ideally, as game-days progress the sunrise/sunset would change. I can't see that altering the sunrise/sunset based on day-of-year would be hard to do. Making the scenery alter, that's a whole different matter - you'd need a whole bunch of vegetation styles, I would think at least 12, and have them change in sequence. The running load for the game wouldn't be that much higher since only one kind of vegetation would be displayed at any time - but the amount of file store used would increase. It shouldn't be so hard to do, but it may be that they don't see that as a priority.

It isn't - it was already done in a mod here.Llewelyn wrote:ideally, as game-days progress the sunrise/sunset would change. I can't see that altering the sunrise/sunset based on day-of-year would be hard to do.
