#1 Post by GSC » 26 Aug 2016 16:44

It's done, for a while...

Changes:

- No Bloom
- sun profiles day / night / colors
- new black point for day & night
- new white point / grey for day
- more HDR cowbell for sky during daytime
- desaturated / reworked colors where applicable
- is pretty, i swear*....really
- awesome icon as free gift bonus - updated, many happys
- HDR enabled preferred - Game Options
- Color Correction Enabled preferred - Game Options
- Default / Desert climates / preliminary Dalton cimates (Summer - works for Winter as well cept Temperatures are a tad off)
- Dalton climate includes correct sun curve calculated based on Delta Junction-ish lat/lon as map origin ie. 0;0;0 (you know what i mean...)
- Sunrise Dalton at around 3am NNE - Sunset at around 1215am NNW - civil twilight in between, sun never drops below -5deg
- deKlowned skies a little...see if you notice
- re-added skyboxes for more variety
- rebalanced dusk/dawn to be more in line w astronomical/nautical/civil twilights
- fixed icon not showing...

Looks great, gonna test it out to see if "- is pretty, i swear...." works
If it is stupid but it works, it isn't stupid.

Just tested it. Been using Piva's one before, and the least I can say is that yours looks really good !

I really like the colors, they are very realistic, and the day/night transitions feels better too.

And that logo man... Great weather mod.

This is fantastic, so nice and balanced, top notch, GTA 5 quality of lighting! Thank you, please do this for ETS 2 also.

ETS2 i have to be really bored enough to go ahead w the copy / paste / compare / test chore considering theres like 20 or so climate profiles for every EurAsian nook and cranny, also i dont have ETS2 installed anyway anymore for serveral reasons - i will finish ATS weather here, just a few minor "Feature Upgrades" aka fixes soon, again depending on boredom levels and then we'll see...
