This it not really a bug, but I have never seen a trailer in the USA with bump bars(?) like these:

Agreed

I would have rather seen something like this...

not having seen one in the US is not the same as they don't exist in the US.

there are some company's who require their fitting to their worldwide fleets regardless of if they are mandated or not, for example Exxon Mobil for branded trucks and trailers that often deliver into city's etc.

aerodynamic side skirts were trailer options as some states thought about mandating them, and there are some company's combining side under-run protection with aerodynamic side skirts as a logical step given the lobbing of IIHS & NTSB of the NHTSA, even the likes of New York City Council have regs that come into force on January 1st 2024 for all City fleet and City-licensed trade waste hauling vehicles weighing over 10000lb to have side guards, so its not as if people aren't thinking about it, and if your buying something like a semi trailer in 2016 you would be a fool not to think ahead to possible legislation.

but the laws are for USA style side skirting, not EU bump bars

I would also like them to be removed. Haven't seen a trailer with those in NY. Infact, I don't think I ever seen a curtain trailer either :(

As I see, the trailer in that picture exists, but looks chinese.

In this page here, are several ones, very similar.

Also, it looks like that red/white coloring there is something common in China for side bars on truck trailers.

So as I see it, this model "sneaked in" from some wrong source reference. Indeed american trailer style is one empty and scary under-trailer.

Err... looks more like this: http://www.slidingsystems.com/admin/ima ... Office.JPG

Just not quite as much of a drop in the frame and without the guards.

EDIT: Here's another image: http://www.slidingsystems.com/admin/ima ... 20Deck.jpg

EDIT 2: It would be nice if a dev could provide a reference image that they used for it.
