T680 ISX15 RPM [NOT A BUG]

#1 Post by PW4056 » 05 Mar 2016 20:23

Couldn't seem to find this anywhere, but the RPMs for the ISX15 10-speed on the T680 appear to be off. At 65 miles an hour, the engine's at 1600 RPM, which is grossly inaccurate and is causing a significant fuel burn. This is what I was getting from driving one myself:

1st gear: Starting at 700 RPM, 3 MPH at 1300 RPM
2nd gear 3 MPH at 1000 RPM, 5 MPH at 1300 RPM
3rd gear 5 MPH at 1000 RPM, 8 MPH at 1500 RPM
4th gear 8 MPH at 1100 RPM, 12 MPH at 1500 RPM
5th gear 12 MPH at 1100 RPM, 15 MPH at 1500 RPM
6th gear 15 MPH at 1100 RPM, 23 MPH at 1500 RPM
7th gear 23 MPH at 1100 RPM, 30 MPH at 1500 RPM
8th gear 30 MPH at 1100 RPM, 41 MPH at 1500 RPM
9th gear 41 MPH at 1100 RPM, 55 MPH at 1500 RPM
10th gear 55 MPH at 1100 RPM, 65 MPH at 1300 RPM

At 70 MPH, the engine's running at 1400 RPM. I couldn't go any faster than that without violating any rules, but I am guessing 1500 RPM would really put the truck at 75 MPH and 1600 RPM would put it at 80 MPH. Here's a short video that I will leave up until someone from SCS sees it, then I intend on taking it down.

The video will also address the issue with the turn signal speed on this particular truck in addition to the sound of the turn signal, assuming a game limitation isn't stopping that from getting fixed, as those seem to be a little unrealistic for this truck.

Do you have adaptive automatic transmission enabled in Options: Controls?

Also read bug reporting rules.

I do not, as I have the transmission set to sequential and I am manually shifting the truck. Here's a screenshot at 65 miles an hour.

Description of bug, I believe I already have that in the initial post. Version is 1.1, 64-bit. This one can be reproduced all the time. Game.log in the following link, although I'm not sure of the relevance of that in this case.

The rear diff ratio will have a major effect on what rpm you're running at in relation to speed and gear.

exactly, do you know what diff ratio have the truck on video?
i will check differentials in game for all transmissions, tomorrow.

(keep the video on for few more days please)

Is not a bug, that only because the 10 speed transmission have been make like that by SCS.

That's a poll to request rear differentials as an accessory.

I would hope so considering I was the one driving it. On the side of the door, if it is the Axle Ratio you're referring to, it is 2.39 for this truck.

our 10-speed transmission is used with 2.85 diff ratio.
i tested the truck with 2.39 diff ratio and rpm were exactly as you wrote. so its everything correct, our truck are just set to be 20% stronger/slower than your truck is.

you can create simple mod, if you want more fuel efficient long haul truck (at cost of some power).
just change diff ratio on transmission(s).
thanks for report.

A good reason to introduce rear diffs as accessories :D :D :D
