"getting drowned in sarcasm flooding this post"

Come on ! stop it, I still have to deal with the fact that OP was right about indicating right and going straight will not result in fine (like, never for real )

Update:
So I talked with someone competent here (so not myself this time) and I was told that "Yea, you can see that right indication on traffic lights is working well, bye" so my guess is that you found another funky loophole that could be described and included in box of "if you try hard enough you can do it" semi-cheats, so in conclusion we know about it and we are not going to do anything with it at the moment :D .

Thanks though, this was fun.

I've tried that - doesn't work, I still get fined. But I found a way to cheat the traffic light whenever I wanna go forward (or left) and it's red: get to the turning right lane, turn the right blinker on and then just go in the desired direction. I never get fined that way.

It's not what you describe but nvm. If you want to get fined for running red lights, just open police_data.sii and edit every line which contains offense probabilities

Code: Select all

offence_probabilty[5]: x.x	# red lights
offence_police_probabilty[5]: x.x	# red lights
where x.x is a number. Replace that number with 1.0 on each line. That way you'll get fined 100% of the time you run a red light (blinker or no blinker), no matter which direction you're going, except for turning right.

It should be probability instead of probabilty in whole police.sii (and whereever it may be used too), just to prevent problems in case someone spells it correctly elsewhere ;-)

No Lexx, it's exactly what I described.

Even with your changes, making a 100% chance to get fined, it still doesn't fine you if you are indicating right while in the right-hand lane, but in fact go straight on.

My post wasn't about "only getting fined some of the time", it was about "NEVER getting fined running straight on, if you are indicating to turn right".
