Looking at XBS' website one can see he is working through his various trucks, updating them to 1.40. He's got a lot to do and no doubt it is not fun work. I'm sure he'll get to the FLC as I suspect it is one of his most popular mods.

The FLC works in 1.40, even the XBS engines....

Yes but from that pic the mirrors are overly bright... and i'm pretty sure the lights will need updated to the new standard as well?

Mirror materials, interior gauge/instrument materials and possibly glass and headlight materials need updating as well as the headlight definitions. Those things apply to any mod truck.

Well, for those that are complaining that can't use the truck in 1.40 and have wait to for an update, my example shows the truck can be used in 1.40 The lights & mirrors aren't that much of an issue.

That may be your experience, but I think most people find that any truck that hasn't been updated the mirrors get so bright as to be unusable. I can't remember because I haven't used a non-updated mod truck in 1.40 for a while now, but don't the mirrors also get pretty much blacked out at night, and do the headlights even work at night?

But yes, those issues aside one can edit the manifest and "use" it in 1.40. But it will be sub-optimal for most people.

The mirrors can not only be too bright, they also can give weird artifacts that makes them impossible to use when backing up, this really depends on the weather though.
Not sure about the Freightliner, but with one of XBS's other not updated trucks the headlights are way too bright at night, not just like unrealistic, but like a huge white blob at the center of you screen.

Yes, the lights are too bright at night, but then I rarely drive at night. As I said, if you really want to use the FLC in 1.40, you can. ;)

You need to edit the def/vehicle/truck/???/headlight file for that. Copy one from an SCS truck.

The lights are not only too bright at night but the mirrors are completely black and unusable. Driving only during the day isn't really the solution.

Is there a def edit for the mirrors also?
