Heavy Haul truck Pack ***released***

#1 Post by XXXXX » 23 Jul 2017 04:08

This is a little mod I'm currently working on. It will give all trucks a new 8x6 Chassis. It is a new idea stand alone chassis does not affect trucks, it will load the chassis from another location. It also comes with new beacons, and short stacks, Also the default quick job trucks for the heavy loads will now have the long Chassis and be a day cab more common with these heavy haulers. So far I did both Pete's. I'm hoping to the the Kenworth's next. 8-)

Is that dolly(or front section of trailer) with 3 axles a mod? or did I not notice that on the Crane heavy cargo?

Looks like the Etnyre lowboy that was released on the workshop recently.
Looks great though X, was wondering when someone would get around to this. Really stoked about the 8x4 too, was just about to ask about that.

Something I like is an 8x4 with the 2nd and 3rd axles driving and an opposite steer axle on the rear. Much better for trailer reversing. You can get the same effect with a rear tag lift although with a real heavy trailer it makes it light at the front. I guess you can have an opposite steer AND lift (and yes, seen that on a real truck) which gives you both options in one. Liftable tag is of course useful if you need more traction, gets more weight on the drive axles.

Here is the Final Truck, I managed to do all 4 trucks both 8x6 and 8x4. I was going to add 4x2 chassis for all for the new double trailers, but maybe in a later mod.

I know 2nd time - but it would be awesome if you replaced the rear fenders on each truck to something that fits with the wheels/are of better quality. Ask Pauly(Viper2) he has a a good hodgebilt fender and he is pretty cool about letting people use parts. But that would take this from "cool" to "awesome!"
