Do they not offer an aero-cap for the mid roof like they do on the T680?

Speaking of which we could do with a roof top aero-cap like we have for the Pete 579 and Kenny W900 on the T680 now that it looks to be offered with one by KW

seems strange that KW dont offer an aero cap for their flagship US model.

@Space_Night who said the W990 was a flagship truck? i believe that title would go to either the W900 or more likely its T680 as of now

the W990 and this is a quote from the website "long-hood conventional – the Kenworth W990"

i always looked aty the W900 as the flagship Kenworth for north America and took the W990 to be its replacement. I always thought the T680 was a mid-range truck compared to the W900

no Both T680 and W900 along with the W990 are Class 8 Highway trucks

W990 is a standalon kinda similar to if a car manufacturer decided on the whim to manufacture a concept car as is in limited numbers

iv NEVER seen a W990 on the road not saying they arent just i havent seen one where as you cant swing a dead cat without hitting a T680 which i think there are more of on the road than the W900

W900 has in its many variants been produced since the 1970's as you may know and always been the w900 its still to my knowledge in production now

i love the W990 its a mix between a conventional truck and a modern truck kinda like that ill fated ford thunderbird they had in the early 2000's was

I have a little problem about seat adjustment...I like to be close dahsboard when I drive my trucks but w990 interior has not my ideal seat position. anyone knows '' unlimited seat adjustment '' mod included kenworth w990 ?? I searhced but I could't mod for w990

ok..I did it :)
how ?
\def\vehicle\truck\kenworth.w990\interior\seat.sui
open ''seat.sui''
and paste values belove

seat_left_limit: -0.55
seat_right_limit: 1.90
seat_up_limit: 1.55
seat_down_limit: -0.45
seat_front_limit: -0.8
seat_back_limit: 1.74

From the chassis down, they are essentially the same truck. Both can have the same chassis, engine-trans combinations, suspensions etc. The BIG difference are the cabs. The W900 still uses the 'old' 1.9m (?) cab, whilst the W990 uses the wider 2.1m (?) cab shared with the T680 and Pete 579 (as does our own T410 and T610 here in Australia, whilst the T9xx and C5xx series use the W900 cab - all with modifications and strengthening to the firewall and floor for Oz conditions).

The W990 was only released in late September 2018, and yes, the W900 is still in production.

I can't find a current sales chart atm, but in 2016 (according to wiki) the T680 accounted for 60% of Kenworth USA sales whilst the T800 and W900 only accounted for 10% of sales. The W990 has only been on sale for around 18 months or so.
