SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Re: Kenworth W990 edited by Harven (v1.2.2)
Well, Harven did a HUGE effort and AWESOME job to optimize the Peru model. It would still be a nice enhancement if he could add the 52in midroof sleeper (maybe adapt and remap from the SCS t680), to complete the lineup - it exists, there are photos on the net.
What is rather a question for Kenworth, is why they didn‘t also offer the high-roof 76in sleeper you see on many, many t680s for the w990.

Re: Kenworth W990 edited by Harven (v1.2.2)
@TomDooley
they didn't offer it because the W990 is supposed to be a mix of old and new not just new its kind of a heritage cross over truck
why they didn't is they chose not to
i think the truck looks great as is
we can ask all day long why a mod author did this or didn't do that but at the end of the day they are the author its their decision and we can either like it or move on
you can always offer your suggestions but again if they chose not to acknowledge them thats their decision

Re: Kenworth W990 edited by Harven (v1.2.2)
I know the fact, and I respect Harven a lot. No need to get unfriendly.

not intending to be unfriendly just pointing out facts

Very nice truck!
Thank you Harven and Frank Peru, Yekko Yek, Kriechbaum, Piva, 3D Molier.
It will stay for a while. Looks great, sounds great, drives great and seems to work without problems so far as well.
One little thing I discovered:
The front fender is kinda semi-transparent to lights.
The brighter they are, the more they shine through.
Used different ones here, the ones that come with the mod and one other.

Don't know if this can be fixed or if it's a general issue of the game.
Just have not recognized that so far at other trucks.
The stock trucks are usually kind of dark at the inside of the fender.
Maybe they have some additional mesh there.
But I don't mind, usually I am inside the truck
Great work!

Re: Kenworth W990 edited by Harven (v1.2.2)
Yes, unfortunately the first fender has been transparent since the first version. Anyway, I'm happy with it too.
Re: Kenworth W990 edited by Harven (v1.2.2)
The fender is not transparent - this is how flares work in this game. When placed close to a mesh they will shine-through. Nothing I can do about it besides removing the slot but I bet you wouldn't want me to do that
TomDooley, yeah I know about that sleeper. The original mod from Frank included only day cab and 76-inch sleeper. I made the 40-inch flat top sleeper, maybe will add 52-inch one in a future update. For now I have other projects on the list and one of them has no sleeper at all, so has a higher priority in getting one

Re: Kenworth W990 edited by Harven (v1.2.2)
i solve the problem by not putting light in there and then it doesn’t light through the fender. Wasn't it long ago in the cab interior that w990 inscription was also inside the back? Or was it in Frank's version? (horrible google translate)
Oh yeah, that was the Franck Peru version.

Re: Kenworth W990 edited by Harven (v1.2.2)
Thanks for the quick reply.
I am totally fine with it
If it bothers me, I will just remove the lamps.
