73" Hi-Rise Sleeper for International Lonestar

#1 Post by Harven » 19 Dec 2019 16:47

Hi!
SCS did a really nice job with the truck but it's a shame they omitted 73" hi-rise sleeper. I'm not a big fan of 73" sky-rise sleeper and 56" hi-rise sleeper isn't suitable if you want to live in the truck ;) So I made 73" hi-rise sleeper. I know @evh5150vanhalen is working on his upgrades for LoneStar and he will make his own version of this sleeper but I started working on mine before he posted his thread so I decided to finish my work to not waste all the time invested.

What's included in the mod?
- Standalone (means it's not replacing any existing cabin) 73" Hi-Rise Sleeper,
- Standalone single bunk interior (ext and int),
- Optional suitable roof deflector,
- Optional "Wing" roof deflector,
- Build-in support for all standard paintjobs,
- Separate paintjob packs support mods (Christmas, Dragon, Halloween, Pink Ribbon, Space, Stripes, Valentine - install only the ones you have)

Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZzclzH ... eOiETHqBhv - lonestar_73hirise.scs is the main mod.
Steam workshop link coming later :)

Thanks!

i don't get why SCS restrict themselves to 3 cabs, when American trucks have much more factory variants than that.

Thank you! Will it support newly added paintjobs from Christmas Event at some point?

Awesome! I did notice that the hood is much lower than it is supposed to be in the interior view on your cab than the vanilla, might want to look into that. That's the only noticeable bug I've seen so far, otherwise, its great!

@overfloater, I would guess they limit it to 3 because every cabin requires it's own paintjobs. With this mod I'm using skyrise paintjobs but it's not perfect, some of them look as intended while others not quite.

@Adsumus, sure - I updated the mod to v1.1, please redownload.

@TruckerKid, thanks, I noticed this yeaterday as well, fixed in v1.1, just download again from the same link.

That's looking fantastic. Love that you have not forgotten about the deflector and added a wing (although I'm not a wing man [badum-tss]). Thanks.
Are you planning on further developing your own version or are you giving way to evh5150vanhalen?
If it's the former case, could you add cabin light slots like on the LT? Such a shame SCS havn't done it.
Tip of the day: For compatibility with OpenGL (Mac & Linux), use BC3/DXT5 as the compression method and generate mipmaps when creating DDS files.
The unixoid truck-sim community thanks you. Thank you!

Fare thee as well as I fare.

Also from what I see online; I barely see internationals... there are more cascadia than internationals! But love the model either way... but I wish they had a cascadia!

Silly question for you Harven. How do I get Sisls megapack to work with this cab??? Currently, everything i;ve tried fails, even though sisls works with the hirise and skyrise cabs..
