Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Volvo VNL Reworks V1.2

I have started a new thread for the Volvo Reworks by Mr Capital. He has given me official permission to continue doing updates to this mod. As such, I changed the version number to correlate with what I've done with the mod. The link will be below as always.
The sounds and drivetrain mod have been fully integrated into the mod so all you have to do is open the .RAR file and put the folder (VNL Reworks) into the mod folder, uncompressed. The game for some reason has a hard time reading the mod otherwise. If there's any issues, please let me know
This does work on 1.40. Chassis crash issue has been fixed. It will replace the recent SCS chassis options. So if you have any of the new chassis options in game (eg 4x2, 8x4) I would sell those before adding this mod as it will result in a crash otherwise. The mod isn't perfect, but it does work. Enjoy!

Currently, this mod works in the beta as long as you don't use any of the new chassis options. Using them results in a crash. I'm not sure how to fix it as of yet as it may require 3D editing, which I do not know how to do. So at this point, if you don't care about the new 4x2 or the 8x4 it'll work fine, lights and all.

I have no plans to change to beta 1.40 I just wait till 1.40 goes live I'm not in a rush

@Lillen I'm still going to make sure the lights and everything work but due to the changes, it won't work if you select the new chassis options with the scs volvo. It works fine otherwise. I'm sure the fix would come from a blender edit but I don't know how to do that. So ill do what I can to keep it alive. If one wants to use the new chassis options, you have to disable this mod or the game will crash. Aside from that, it works fine.

how do you load skins for the vnl reworks? i was told its based on the stock SCS VNL but im using mods studio and made a skin using stock VNL and doesnt work. what am i doing wrong?

@q50nexus yes, it is based on the scs volvo but the cabs are different. I'm assuming if you don't have the correct template it won't work. I know absolutely nothing about doing skins as I haven't started down that path yet, but I'm pretty sure that would be the reason why.

Did you look in the original post for a template? He has templates listed there version 1.9.
