You and @Outlaw Transport have done incredible work taking over the project. I just couldn't keep up with Steam and the mod uploader being so strict, that I practically gave up on it. But you two breathed new life into it that it desperately needed. Your work is forever appreciated!!yukonjack_ak wrote: ↑29 Nov 2021 15:42 @Outlaw Transport Holy $%*& man... Been away for a while and this is the first time I'm looking through this thread. Simply stunning. I'm so glad you've taken over the 4900FA project; you're doing stuff I could only have dreamed of (and definitely didn't have the patience or skill for haha). Seriously awesome work so far!

Re: [WIP] Western Star 4900FA Continuation
Appreciate the nice feedback homies, but let's be real and keep credit where it belongs - what I am doing is not much more than adding some new pieces to a superb mod you guys already built. It hurts my brain trying to comprehend building an entire truck mod from scratch.
Progress has been a little slower this week than I had hoped. Time management has never been my strong suit and deciding to renew my old real life CDL at the same time I'm doing this wasn't very bright. As I said earlier, I'm also extraordinarily anal about some details without really knowing how to do them. I don't know how long it takes someone experienced but I spent the better part of a day replicating this punched filter mesh below until I got it right. It's amazing how easy it is to bend, stretch and deform things in Blender in EVERY single way EXCEPT how you want it
Since posts without pics are useless;

The attention to detail is incredible! I’m not a big WS fan of the newer (read:vanilla) models but the 4900 has always just looked so good. Can’t wait to add this to the fleet!

we have a few of these in our fleet, both daycab and this configuration. I'd certainly like to re create one in game. 600 Detroit/ 18 speed. Pretty fun to scoot around in.
