[REL] Alutrec Flatbed [1.1.5 - 13/06/2022]

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

[REL] Alutrec Flatbed [1.1.5 - 13/06/2022]

Description:
Alutrec is a small, but accomplished manufacturer of aluminum semitrailers based out of Laurier-Station, Quebec. They've been operating since 1995 and were acquired by Manac in 2018. This mod focuses on their flatbed model, as an ownable trailer in various axle configurations commonly used in Quebec and Ontario.

Wheels:
This mod is intended to be used with my wheel pack. Make sure you have the Wheel Pack set with higher priority than the trailer(s) in the Mod Manager. You can use it without the Wheel Pack, but the default wheels do not look good on it. For best results, use version 1.5.1.1 or higher.

Credits:
Corby - Original trailer model
SCS - Original cargo models

WORKSHOP

-----

Here's something I've been slowly working on since March. Corby was nice enough to send me one of his Alutrec flatbed models, which I've been tweaking, optimizing and texturing. This is going to be a 48' SPIF 3 quad (so tridem plus a self-steer axle at 72" - 72" - 100" spacings) which can legally gross up to ~134,000lb in Ontario with a long enough tractor. It's based on units in the Robert fleet, which have rather interesting construction, lacking rub rails and having routed windows for tarp straps.

It's shown here with a load of white spruce, which hardly weighs anything, but looks snazzy all the same. ;)

Boy would I like an Ontario-Quebec map. This and a few other mods - some yours - would just be a match made in heaven!

ShirBlackspots: Yes, or it wouldn't be SPIF. ;)

BK Vissers: Oh man, if that happened, I would be a very happy camper. The only thing that would make me happier is an Ontario official DLC. :)

Looks awesome!

Excuse the question of someone who's not into modding - does ATS support steerable axles, like ETS2 does?

Why starting another mod ? You have many of unfinished mods. Finish them before starting new project.
