Benson end-dump

#1 Post by overfloater » 30 Sep 2020 12:47

Hi.

I recently made this trailer. It hauls coal.

I need assistance now, in choosing origins and destinations.
The obvious choices are Coastline Mining (CM) Quarry as an origin, and CM facility as a destination. But the gameplay will get old really fast, with those 2 places alone.
My alternative plan, is to add all the companies as both destinations & origins.

Has anyone got other ideas for coal origins & destinations?

update
i arranged the origins & destinations in accordance with everyone's suggestions.
The resulting job list was a bit short, so aside from coal cargo, there's now gravel & limestone too.
Some issues i couldn't solve. I couldn't make freight market jobs work correctly, so right now there aren't any. Only for purchased trailer.
The trailer itself, comes in 3 sizes, and a paintable chassis.

Try out the mod: ATS Workshop
...Or use manual download: Benson_dump_ats139.scs - 16.1 MB
*Required game version is 1.39!

After you're done, please go and buy me an ice cream: paypal.me/overfloater

@overfloater I think any mine as origin and destination can be ports, rail yards anywhere where call can be used so mainly up north near Washington Oregon and Idaho will be high spawn area
Skins: pebble mines incorporate Port Of Seattle Ect

you can also add the Mudslide creek company (unused in vanilla map) that was used in Big Sur Event. Some maps mods such as Sierra Nevada use it.

Certain Asteel prefabs have small smelters on them and could be used as delivery locations.

The two that I know have smelters are the one in Salem, Oregon and the larger one at SLC, Utah.

I would add Rail Export and the ports as coal is shipped by rail and barge too.

Steeler depots can be a destination as well then. Bitumen construction sites and warehouses are fine too. Maybe farms since they need fertilizer and such.
