Another Turn Signal Issue [NOTED]
Another Turn Signal Issue [NOTED]
Another issue with the turn signal. In the United States, truck turn signals do not automatically cancel. You're supposed to have the turn signal on throughout the entirety of the turn, and if the turn signal cancels automatically, the trailer would still be in the middle of the turn.
Re: Another Turn Signal Issue [NOTED]
Honestly - if they actually put this (hardcoded) in the game, as a European driver I'd be soooooo frustrated to the point of possibly not playing any more.
It really would KILL it for me.
I think you might be able to mod this by setting steering indicator cutoff angle to 0...?? Maybe.

Why not a checkbox in the gameplay options? Both will be happy.

And as an American driver, I get frustrated when I try to manually turn it off, only to find out that instead, I am just turning it on. That said, having it available as an option sounds like a good compromise to me.jarvik79 wrote:Honestly - if they actually put this (hardcoded) in the game, as a European driver I'd be soooooo frustrated to the point of possibly not playing any more.

First truck I ever drove when I took the license had no automatic indicator switch offjarvik79 wrote:as a European driver I'd be soooooo frustrated
It's just a habbit nice to have you'll soon have it
When exiting a roundabout IRL the automation does not always switch the indicator off
Lane changing you need to swith it off manually etc

I'm on a mission to ensure the city of Pittsburgh is accurately represented in ATS.

YES!! I would love to see this. Just put it in options, "Self-Cancelling turn signals", default to "enabled", then we old-school American drivers can disable it.

As a former owner of an old-skool Citroen (CX Safari - what was I thinking?), I agree.PW4056 wrote: And as an American driver, I get frustrated when I try to manually turn it off, only to find out that instead, I am just turning it on.
