SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Kriechbaum also made an X15 685hp open pipe sound and it's nothing short of evil :)
If you suck at playing the trumpet, that's probably why.

@calumwl there's no missing files. The vnl sounds replaces the original scs sounds. So in order for it to work, you need to put all of the original sound.sui in the engines folder,, and the ref files in the def/vehicle/truck directory. Then you need to add the @include "sound.sui" in the engine defs you wish to use. Without any of the following, it won't work.
Thank you for your answer. It turned out I had a mod that conflicts with the sound mega pack, the new Volvo sound works after I removed the mod. My bad!

@rookie_one I've already told kriechbaum I'm going to do the recordings for the x15 efficiency. Stay tuned. My work truck I'm usually assigned has that engine. At the moment I've been working at a different location so I haven't had access. So if all goes well, I'll get kriechbaum the recordings and we can see what we can make happen. It'll fit perfectly with the x15 performance series we already have.

@calumwl yeah, I've literally had the exact same thing happen to me before. If there's another mod that's dealing with sounds, it can cause issues. That's a sound I recorded for the Volvo. Came off one of our work trucks.

@Kw900 Whatever you provide, is greatly appreciated. I've become very fond of what Kriech does and its very very difficult to play ATS without this sound pack. I am so happy that 1.37's intro to fmod is behind us so no major breaking of sounds hopefully. Kriech did a great job learning fmod. It just puzzles me how good his sounds are which leaves a lot to be desired in the vanilla game. I can't play ATS seriously like I like to without at least one of the sounds in his pack for my W900. I still play with it 90% of the time as I love this classic to drive. So many sounds works great for me and they fit the classic. The N14, 3046, X15, Signature, Cummins 444.....I always have something to tag to my W900.

@flight50 I'm always happy to help the community. It's really our friend @kriechbaum that does the magic. He for sure is a master at these sounds. He can take basic recordings and turn them into a therapy session. The x15 efficiency series will give the entire engine lineup for the new x series engines with the exception of the x12. I don't have access to that one. Likewise, I simply can't play the game with base sounds. Scs does a fantastic job in most areas, but sounds are a downside. I dont even understand how fmod works but he mastered it. Just amazes me how well it's been implemented into the game. I personally love how customizable it made the game. Glad also we are passed the conversion point.

@Kw900 Kriechbaum's X15 was created from recordings made by an owner of a K200 with that engine in it. 600rpm, 700rpm, 800, etc Nice and smooth constant revs.
And it's glorious.
If you suck at playing the trumpet, that's probably why.

I think what Kw900 is saying is that Kriech can take a non professional recorded sound and make magic. SYPHON is the person you speak of that made the x15 sound using his cel phone. Kw900 may or may not have profession sound recording equipment but either way, Kriech can make magic.

I hope scs implements kriechbaum sounds in the game and that way there will be no need to any sound mods because we have best sounds in the community
