Engine sound mega pack 4.2 date 2023/02/04

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

I know he redid the SCS DD engine. That one could be overwritting. Are you using a mod truck or a vanilla truck? Sound mods have to support mod trucks.

All of Kriech's engines that he has will overwrite the SCS ones.

Only way to disable the sounds is by disabling the engine mod. Must be done from a startup. You can't go back to mod manager if the game is running to do this.

You think you could make the jake on the Cummins 444 sound more aggressive? Starts out strong but then goes European. Love the sounds

@Xx_KittyNikki_xX Funny how tastes can differ. I think the way it is now it sounds perfect to my ears. It's my favorite engine.

@kriechbaum Is there a plan to bring the ISX12 to the mod? I'm so spoiled by your engine pack that I try to avoid any quick jobs with trucks that are running with the ISX 12 like the 567 from GTM for example.

What brings me to another question. Is it possible to assign different engines to a truck i.e. the Cummins 444 to the 567?

Big thanks for your hard work. I can't imagine to play the game without your engine sounds!

As you all know, kriechbaum updated his "new actros" sound (for ETS2) with modified SCS recorded DD15 engine sound, but same DD15 sound is not yet updated for ATS mega pack... Until mega pack is updated by creator himself, we can have workaround...
1.You need to download "Mercedes OM 471-473 engine sound 2.1" https://sharemods.com/xjo6h7varb1l/Actr ... D.rar.html
2. Move it in ATS Mod File...
3. Open with 7zip...
3. Go in def - vehicle - truck...
4. Rename "mercedes.actros2014" file to "freightliner.cascadia2019"
5. Open that renamed file, and remove everything except "engine" file...
6. Open "engine" file and remove actros engine sii files (dont touch sound_dd13/15.sui files), and replace them with freightliner engine files, you can take those files from mega pack, or extract original files from scs...
7. Open engine sii file (for example dd15_505.sii) with text editor, in case of kriechbaum engine files, remove "@include "sound_dd13.sui" line, and replace it with "@include "sound_dd15.sui"... In case of SCS extracted engine files, remove @include "sound.sui" line, and replace it with "@include "sound_dd15.sui"
8. go in game and enable mod in mod settings and enjoy in dd15 sound...

Ofc, same workaround also works for WS49x...

I am trying to buy a fleet of Cascadia's for my hired drivers to use. I want them to all have stock SCS trucks and accessories so I don't have to manage mods much with updates. So I am trying to buy a Cascadia with an SCS engine how ever when I go to customize the truck for purchase, only mod engines are showing up, there are no SCS engines. The only truck I have with this sound mod is a Peterbilt 389 with Cummins m11 580 tune engine. I have no other sound mods or engine mods. I know it is this mod effecting the Cascadia because when I deactivate it in mod manager I have the SCS engines again. It is only effecting the Cascadia, all other brands and models of scs trucks have the scs engines as well as mod engines available. If I filter off mod engines, there is nothing available just a blank list and under content filters there is no DLC Cascadia engine box to check or uncheck.

If you think you‘re up to it, you could just take the undesired trucks out of the suitability lists for each affected engine in the mod, which you have to extract with a zip compatible archiver. Remember to use the compression free store method when repacking.

Is there any way I can get this sound pack to work with the SCS trucks on ETS?
