Engine sound mega pack 4.2 date 2023/02/04

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

It downloads as an .scs file, what's so hard about copying it to your mod folder and activating it?

Is it possible you might have a tool that automatically expand zip files after download?

It's not a zip file, it's an .scs file (MegaPack_sound_Kriechbaum_3.6.scs) just put it in the mod folder "as is" for gawd's sake!

It is a zip file, just renamed into .scs probably to clarify that it is a mod file that needs no extracting. Actual .scs files are not standard zip archives (only used by SCS themselves and ProMods as far as I know).

I won't continue the discussion here but it has nothing to do with us trying to unzip anything. It has nothing to do with whether or not the file is a zip or an scs. We are downloading the SCS file and putting the SCS file as downloaded into the mods folder. The mod DOESN"T show up in the mods to be activated.

Perhaps your download corrupts somehow. Have you tried downloading using a different web browser?

@TruckerDude If the game doesn't crash, have you checked the log file? Maybe it will tell you why the soundpack doesn't show up?
If you suck at playing the trumpet, that's probably why.
