While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

While I understand these are very much American engine sounds could they be added to ETS as well?
Maybe my Renault T has a Detriot nobody needs to know

Yes they can be adapted to ETS2 if you know how to manipulate the folders. I'm not the one to explain it as well as others. I've done it by copying files for the K100 in ATS over to ETS2. Now when dealing with two totally different trucks, you might have to actually going into the files themselves to redefine somethings.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Here's a quick n dirty method.
- Copy Engine Sound Mega Pack 3.7 file to another location and rename to 'Engine Sound Mega Pack 3.7 ETS2'
- Extract that file.
Navigate to "def/vehicle/truck/" folder.
- In that folder, rename the 'kenworth.w900' folder to: 'renault.t'
- Inside that folder is the 'engine' folder.
In the engine folder:
- Open all files with ".sii": extension. Do not touch ".sui" files and leave them intact.
- In each of those opened sii files, the 3rd line is this:
accessory_engine_data : dd60_515.kenworth.w900.engine
Change that line to read:
accessory_engine_data : dd60_515.renault.t.engine
(That's using Detroit Series 60 as example but do it for all engines)
- Save all the engine sii files.
- Repack the 'Engine Sound Mega Pack 3.7 ETS2' archive using 'store' method. You can use ".zip" as an extension.
- Drop it in your ETS2 mod folder, activate it.
- Ingame you'll see the SCS engines and Kriechbaum's engines appear in the upgrade shop.

If you suck at playing the trumpet, that's probably why.

I suppose that is the same method but in reverse to bring the excellent MAN and Volvo sounds from ETS to ATS for the International and the Volvo, as they use the same engines.

@Trucker_71 Yeah, even if a type C15 in the search bar I've got nothing... I try a lot of things to make sure isn't a conflict with other mod or old version

The low air warning sound seems to be missing in the Freightliner and Western Star trucks.

Adding a modification to ETS2 (or ATS) is easier than adding an ETS2 mod to ATS. Reason being is that the file nomenclature is identical. Kriechbaum uses unique names for his def files, especially engine names and the soundref files.
Let's say you wanna make the W900 sound like a DAF.
In order for ETS2 engine sounds to be used in ATS so as they compliment the ATS engine sounds the sound.sui and all the soundref files with it would have to be renamed so they don't overwrite ATS files at runtime.
You could change 'sound.sui' to 'sound_daf.sui' for example. Or 'sound_scania.sui'
This means you have to edit the engine files themselves to '@include' the newly named .sui file.
In addition to editing the soundref files like renaming 'sound_engine.soundref' to 'sound_engine_daf.soundref' for the DAF sounds, or 'sound_engine_scania.soundref' for the SCANIA sounds and so on.
This means ETS2 sound def files will live happily alongside the ATS ones.
If you don't do this, the game won't crash, but the caterpillar, cummins and MX engines for the KENWORTH W900, will all be overridden at runtime because the mod takes priority and will override their sound.sui and soundref files.
Even though you put an ISX engine in your W900, it will sound like the DAF engine from ETS2. Must be unique.
It's not a quick job and care needs to be taken to reference the right files for the right engines.
IMPORTANT: You cannot upload this mod from ETS2 anywhere. IF it only had def files, okay, but because the relevant .banks and .guids don't exist in ATS then you'll be distributing proprietary software, and that is not allowed.

@DB7 Gaming Simulator
Here's the C15 on a W900. I've disabled all other engines/sounds as you can see. This is the latest 3.7 version.
Push comes to shove make a new profile and only enable this mod to rule out everything else (if you haven't done so.)
