Truck stalling

#1 Post by Uxot » 26 May 2016 23:05

Welp this issue again back from 1.2 beta..truck stalls with load on 2L gear....even the slight hill trucks are stalling alot...normally before this i could start in 3L with a load i have NO mods that touch the trucks engine/transmission so..hope im not the only one seeing this.

forgot to point out its on a 500HP engine

..i guess im the only one finding this annoying and unrealistic?

the slight hill at like train cross makes my truck stall over and over...

I personally have not had a chance to even test anything since the beta came out as I drive for a living. That said, I drive a 10-speed, so couldn't help you with an 18-speed.

In RL depending on the weight of the load and the incline your on you may have to start out in 1st gear. When I was driving truck I started out in 2nd or 3rd most of the time, only when I had a fat load did I really have to drop it down to 1st. I will say that the gear ratio for 2nd is still a little steep but over all the gearing is much closer to RL now then when the game first came out.

Welp guess ill stall alot :D its just makes no sense to stall on the incline at a train crossing..its like almost not noticeable "incline"

I notice I have been stalling more in the beta, but it's not as bad as it was previous beta, because you can still start in inclines by using just clutch, brake and low gear. There was a period during the 1.2 beta where that was impossible.

That being said, I kind of like that keeping you truck running while waiting for traffic on inclines is a challenge now. I can't speak to the realism of it though, but it seems perfectly doable with a bit of practice. And it's not like I don't stall my real car in low speeds from time to time, so I can imagine it happening with big trucks as well.

h-shifter controller? truck weight (chassis)? trailer and cargo weight? how steep is the hill (coordinates)?
Nobody can tell you anything about it. Those who know about it aren't allowed to talk. And those who talk know nothing.

G27 h-shifter(18speed),6x4,almost any trailers, hills like i said its like the slight ramp to cross train tracks (when you have to stop because of a train) when you wanna go even on 1L it stalls or like exit ramp of highway (incline) AT the stop sign not before it stalls alot (wasn't like that before and if it was too steep with 1L with enough clutch control you could easely go forward)

I dont have coordinates i dont think its needed because its in general "issue" but can provide if needed.

train crossing and some highway exit ramp intersection.

Oh and even when you are still on a speed bump when i try to go forward on 1L it stalls..i dont think that should happend.

truck? chasis (long or short)? cargo?
i need to try and debug what happens there, so the more specific info i get the more similar case i can create.
