NVidia crush on exit [DRIVER ISSUE]

#1 Post by volvo64 » 01 Aug 2016 16:58

Almost always on exit I get
Fault address: 000007FEEDDC4A7F 0001:004B3A7F C:\Windows\system32\nvd3dumx.dll
I reinstalled video card driver and it didn't help.
The thing is ETS2 (non Steam version) never does it, so You must be doing something different with ATS. Or maybe it is Steam related.
I have no mods.
I think versions prior to 1.3 had this issue as well.

Did you do a full uninstall using the DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in safe mode?

The Nvidia uninstaller sometimes leaves traces that can continue to cause issues after reinstall.

I also use NVidia and do not have this issue at all.

Also do you use any third party addons such as "sweetfx" or new version of it?

Your graphics card specs
64-bit 512mb card? (Yes, the website says 'up to' 1gb configuration, but OP says card reports as 474mb)

No wonder it's struggling.

I've had that before with ETS2. But I had an AMD video card at the time, and I don't do Steam. In the end, since it only did when I shut the game down, I didn't care. So it crashes on exit? The game is shut down...

Your driver is old and you're crashing on the Physx driver. Get a newer one at http://www.nvidia.com
