Splitter Operation

Dunno if it's a bug or not, but I've noticed that the operation of the splitter and range change appear to be mixed up, i.e I need to move the stick (G27 user) into neutral for a split to work, yet I can shift high--> low ---> high range just by releasing the throttle..

Did you try messing around with the new settings? It is located under Options >> Controls >> Scroll down to H-shifter and play around with the first three options (shifter layout, shifter layout behavior, shifter fast split) to see if it solves your problem.

In your case I believe it might be the shifter fast split setting. But try them all if it does not work.

I tried all of them. Didn't change anything...

From now on we have 4 options for the advanced type:

NONE - always have to go neutral and back on gear to make split

CLUTCH - only split if press clutch pedal (Euro way of doing things)

TROTTHLE - only split if release gas pedal (American way of doing things, let's say Eaton Fuller transmissions at least)

BOTH - keep both modes active as before the change.

I tried all of that, to no avail.

The problem I am having is that the range change appears to be the one affected, not the splitter.....

Are you using a custom layout by chance?

It's working correctly for me on all profiles.

Try to delete these 3 files from you game folder on Documents

gearbox_splitter.sii
gearbox_range_splitter.sii
gearbox_range.sii

The game will create new ones on the next start

I came here with the same problem as the Jarrad. Tried deleting all the files as suggested but it seems that the default Easton Fuller 13 speed still will not change gears without moving the stick (G27). In 1.3 no problems.

Make sure you have selected advanced and a fast split mode different from NONE.

Happens to me too,with a custom layout that worked as it should in 1.3,now it's reversed in 1.4
