I too was thinking that making the truck take a wider turn might help. But if you say that's not possible then maybe it isn't.
Question though is, why?

If it's because replacing the prefab itself is problematic then i would look at how the AI follows tight curves and make it instinctively take a wider turn in such cases because it's a TRUCK, not a car.
Or if it's because of potential obstacles that makes a wider turn impractical then maybe any cars that are about to be cut up should back up slightly as the truck is taking the turn. There's enough gap between AI vehicles to allow for a small reverse to avoid the problem.

Either way, yes it's a problem. And i wouldn't leave it be just because it's "impractical to fix".

Oh no, don't take it the wrong way, we will fix it.

I was just pointing gout that there are certain design flaws introduced in this kind of intersection simply prohibits us from doing the obvious things.
