Peterbilt 389 dashboard and control lights. [33639]
The New truck Peterbilt 389 look's very nice, but I see some problems in interior.
1. Lights of dashboard is automatickly ON, when start engine by pressing E (this bug is existing from patch 1.4 in all trucks)
I thing only panel information should be ON by pressing E, but dashboard panel light should be start by pressing L like
beafore patch 1.4.
2. Colour of dashboard (gauges) light should not be roughly white like now. It looks unrealistic. In my opinion should be a
yellow or pale yellow.
3. Controls light's of engine breake(press B), retarder control light are not working.
4. The rest of controls light's like hand breake, low level of pressure are to much dimmed.

As far as the instrument panel lights are concerned, the way they had it before was actually incorrect. On these trucks in the United States, as soon as you put the ignition in the on position, the instrument panel lights will come on regardless of whether any exterior lights are on. Likewise, if the ignition is NOT in the on position, the instrument panel lights won't come on even if you have exterior lights on.

The instrument cluster illumination must be a new thing on trucks after 2015, because all of the trucks we have at work are from 2012 and before, the exception being two new 2015 Freightliner Business Class M2 trucks, and they don't have instrument cluster illumination on unless lights are on.

In the past, I drove a 2010 Peterbilt 386 and a 2011 Kenworth T660 prior to the 2016 Kenworth T680 I drive now, and all of them have instrument panels that light up when you put the ignition in the on position.

Ok. The panel light information ok, but what about light inside every over 20 gauges? Does it really allways ON even day time? What about the colour of gauges light. I saw on Youtube presentation real car's and that colour was't white. It is yellow
or pale yellow.

№3: are you sure your steering wheel column isn't hiding control lights panel behind? This panel is at the bottom of dashboard below speedometer and tachometer and it can be invisible because of steering wheel column position.
Re: Peterbilt 389 dashboard and control lights.
Yes, I know what you are talking about. As I said, when you flip the ignition in the on position, the instrument panel lights and come on (I'm referring to the gauges here), regardless of whether the exterior lights are on or off. If you have the exterior lights on and the ignition is NOT in the on position, the panel lights will not come on. Keep in mind I drive trucks for a living, and I've driven three different trucks since I started driving, so I would hope I know what I was talking about.Pawel29 wrote:Ok. This ultimately depends on the truck. I've never driven a Peterbilt 389 before, so I couldn't tell you for sure, but if it's anything like the Peterbilt 386, it should be a pale yellow.Pawel29 wrote:What about the colour of gauges light. Re: Peterbilt 389 dashboard and control lights.
If you are talking to me, the Freightliner Business Class M2 trucks have the dimmer switch to the left of the instrument cluster, just below the switch to turn off the headlights (2005 to 2012 models, the switch placement was changed). In those trucks, the instrument cluster illumination only comes on when the exterior lights are on.San_Sany4 wrote:№3: are you sure your steering wheel column isn't hiding control lights panel behind? Re: Peterbilt 389 dashboard and control lights.
Nope, it was for OP. I noticed that at some steering wheel column positions it's overlapping with dashboard control lights like turn signals repeaters and some others. And it's about in-game Peterbilt 389, not some Freightliners.
Re: Peterbilt 389 dashboard and control lights.
I found the picture of night panel dashboard and colour is pale orange/yellow. I never saw strong white dashboard light which is now implemented in SCS Peterbilt 389 in every gauges.
Dashboard light (not computer panel light) should be ON when we start outside position light's.
