Overhead Camera Breaks [40992]

On some ferry routes, you have to drive into a ferry in order to be able to travel to your destination. Go in far enough, and the overhead camera (key "3" by default) is disabled as it should. However, when you come out the other side and have nothing but sky overhead, the overhead camera should re-enable itself, but doesn't until you completely quit the game.

Take this ferry route as an example. To recreate this bug:

1. Make a normal ferry trip along the route from Esbjerg to Hull, starting at the green circle and ending where the red arrow is pointing.
2. Once you arrive at Hull, try pressing "3" to switch to the overhead camera (unless you've changed this; in that case, use your binded overhead camera key). If it doesn't switch, you have to exit the entire game and re-launch it to re-enable it.

Other ferry routes set up this way also have this bug, which, done properly, is always reproducible.

That0's not actaully true. You do not have to exit the game then re-enter. All you need is patience, my dear friend! Soon, Later it will work! You have to drive further and later it will be enabled again. Happens sometimes to me too, but it fixes itself. So don't re-enter the game, just drive on and later it'll work. Trust me

Thanks for letting me know. Lately I've been training myself to back in loads the way a real trucker would by restricting myself to using just the cab and window views. But I still think it should be addressed; if you have any influence with SCS whatsoever, you may want to tell them about this, as it should re-enable itself immediately. Or maybe they need to overhaul the ferry terminals to avoid this problem (using the Dover - Calais ferry as an example). But thanks again for your help.

It's been reported already (for 1.27), IIRC. As a temporary solution you can just switch to another camera and then back to the 3rd and it will work again.
