Still lack of engine badges.

Hello. Right now we have 1.28 version of game but some trucks still dont have its engine badges. I don't have in mind ai traffic becouse we all know less polys on trucks more fps but players truck schould have it. Im talking about Renault Premium ( engine and model badge) , Magnum (Engine and model) , Iveco Stralis ( engine badge) , old Actros (engine badge) and old FH16 (engine). I have talked with very competent person on this forum ( not amateur but pro) and He told me that it is fixable from producer stand point. So please SCS add those badges.

Nah. Guys If you have licence for shape of truck , logo , officjal name that aslo means that you have rights to everything that this shape contains. That is engine names , gearbox names etc. Look we have on mask for example Iveco , name Iveco which is Trademark , name Stralis which is trademark and lack of stupid numbers of engine power. On beginging of game MAN also does not have his dors badges but now have. But we all agree that at this stage of game version 1.28 and pending 1.29 with Italia Scania ETC its stupid to don't have those badges at least on players trucks. AI also will be nice but if we manage to persfade somehow guys from SCS to add those damn badges it will be biog succes.

You know it's possible that a licence covers only what is now present in the game and whatever change SCS might want to make will need another licence agreement? Truck licensing issues are a burden on every company and more to SCS games and players.

Or maybe the bug has such a low priority in their issue tracker software because is just a cosmetic thing affecting only old models that its chance to be fixed are almost null.

However, many older truck models are no longer up-to-date and should be revised.

Hi.

Thanks for the report, but there are two issues. First - as is already written here - many of the older truck models could use some improvements in general, not just in details. Second - some licenses (not sure which one) are given on condition, that after finalization check from rights owner, you can not touch the model any more, without ROs argeement (and another check).

Theres already lots of requests for remake of older parts of the game - including truck models. But right now, we are focused on delivering few more releases till the end of the year.
