Railcrossing bugs

#1 Post by piva » 08 Nov 2017 09:47

(sec-0018+0007);-71442.5;41.575;31803.4;1.72585;-0.0488124

Too short time between red lights on and barrier close. So I get trailer damage in game, even I begin go when not red lights.
Same bug for ETS2 too.
Traffic AI still don't know about train coming
I'm sorry - here my weather mod only, not traffic mod used. g_traffic=10
Komat ask me about QA number, I can't find it, because new forum engine, can't find old posts (bug too  )
For me easy to write another one video, than to find old QA number.

Are you referring to this one? viewtopic.php?f=224&t=233416

If that's the case it's QA 37485

You are joking, right? :) You set traffic multiplier to 10 and you are surprised there are so many trains you cannot pass??

g_traffic is (not in game options -> not officially supported) a way to globally increase traffic density. Traffic density is defined per vehicle type by maximum vehicle count and spawn frequency. If you increase the value of g_traffic, you increase BOTH values for ALL vehicle types, including trains.

I talk about short time interval between begin red light flash and start barrier close. Even if you begin crossing railroad with trailer you have no time go out and may get trailer damage.
g_traffic - that's for fast train come to railcross.

You should not enter the crossing when you see red light. That is why it is there. You can see that AI vehicles stop if there is a red light on

That's good if you see AI traffic
But when you go at night by local road in DLC France ... it may not working.
Better behavior is railcrossing with "mover train".
I can't go too fast with 20 ton trailer and 440 hp engine, it is not NFS

I don't understand. I write about real traffic rules (at least in EU) - you should not enter a crossing if the red lights are on (just like a normal traffic light - red means 'stop')
The mover crossings have the same behavior

Ok. I try to explain.
When come to railcross, RED LIGHT OFF, I look left, look right then begin drive, after I go 2-3 meter red flash ON, I on railcross. What can I do?
I talk that interval between red light ON and barrier begin close - now is too short.
On railcross mover train near Elko - all working good, I want same interval beween red flash on and berrier close like on railcross for mover train. No more else.

Alright now I understand - it wasn't clear from the video what you mean. It is true, the barriers shouldn't go down until you exit the crossing (even if you don't move).
There is a bug which causes this but only if you have trailer. Without it it should work ok.
But we didn't have a report in QA about this (I haven't found any, neither have you). Only few days ago our internal testers reported it. It will be fixed in the next update (it is too late for 1.29)

As for the short interval - it is caused be the train speed being too high - it approaches the crossing too fast (unlike mover trains)
