I just fixed this in my own re-work of the SCS map. It was a bit tricky, so if any other modder working on the original map is facing the same problem, here is a simple solution.
The visible gap can't be filled because the nodes for it are too far away. Only simple solution I can think of, is to move that mountain ridge a bit eastwards, closer to the spectator. Simple, but not so easy as one would think. This is not of a "model" type, or "buildings". It is one of the rare "far models". You have to move a reference node, which is a not-so-easy-to-find purple triangle:

The mountain range is only visible from the associated viewing field, and not when you are at that position where the model is. Made my head feeling dizzy before I grasped how this works.
