Display error in Italy

#1 Post by victorhugohc » 24 Nov 2018 05:44

Version game 1.32
64bit
Reproducibility-once
My game did not close at any time.
This started to happen when I entered the town of Villa- San Giovanni.
Trailer: "Plásticos Usados" <---(Spanish)
I could not load all the photos, but in some parts the image went crazy, showing mosaics of colors.

Something that will help with the first issue (and possibly the others) is this.

Edit the config.cfg file for your game. (Use notepad)
The config file can be found at 'C:\Users\*USERNAME*\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2' for a standard install.

Find the entry 'uset r_buffer_page_size "10"'and update it to 20 or higher.

@SCS devs, this issue has been reported frequently across the Steam forums and here. Could you please consider raising this value for the default settings of the game? It is generally triggered by loading additional AI traffic mods (such as Jazzycats).

Thanks friend, the truth I do not remember having put a mod, but in that case, I will have to make a new profile. xD

It may not have been caused by a mod, I was just commenting that most cases I've seen have been.
Looking at your game.log again, you have one mod installed, but it doesn't look like it was active on the profile you used.

Have you tried changing the value?
And did it help?

Yes, a long time ago, in another profile, I had it installed. Only, I forgot to delete it.
I made a new profile, for the new update of ETS2 to be saved in the cloud.

Thanks friend!

there is lot of people who have problems with insufficient memory. setting buffer size bigger by default would kill their game.
so it seems more fair to let you increase the buffer in case you have some memory hungry mod.
Nobody can tell you anything about it. Those who know about it aren't allowed to talk. And those who talk know nothing.
