Problem skinning SCS Trailer

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Problem skinning SCS Trailer

#1 Post by Pascal1986 » 11 Jan 2020 23:22

Hi all,

I'm Turing to the community fo some help. I've skinned some of the SCS trailers. When i select the skin in game, the game crashes.

Logfile:
00:00:59.363 : [Vehicle accessory]: 'tnt.scs.box.paint_job' /def/vehicle/trailer_owned/scs.box/paint_job/TNT.sii
00:00:59.364 : <ERROR> [fs] Failed to open file '/def/vehicle/trailer_owned/scs.box/paint_job/tnt.sii' in the read_only mode.
00:00:59.364 : <ERROR> load_unit() - Failed to open file (/def/vehicle/trailer_owned/scs.box/paint_job/tnt.sii)

Now, Im not completely new to skinning, so I do Understand that the logfile says. It can't open the file tnt.sii. The problem is that the file is named exactly as stated in the Log file.

As a comparisson:
The Crash log File:
/def/vehicle/trailer_owned/scs.box/paint_job/tnt.sii

The folder path Copy/paste from my windows browser:
\def\vehicle\trailer_owned\scs.box\paint_job\tnt.sii

The folder path shoul'nd be a problem. What am i Missing?

Thanx in advance for any advise you can give me!

If these are actual pastes, then one of them is in upper case and the others are in lowercase. Make them the same (lowercase is best).
