Some of my favorite trucks in ETS2 are the RJL Scanias, specially the R and T 4 and 5-Series, and I have tried many sound mods for them in the past, but none of them felt familiar.
I live in a port city in Brazil and these trucks can be seen at practically every minute, but they just sound so different from ingame, so I wonder what makes the brazilian Scanias different from the european ones. Here's some examples of how they usually sound where I live:

Meanwhile sound mods (and vanilla) usually sound like either a V8 hotrod with crackling or an awfully quiet droning. Why? I'm not criticizing or anything, I just had this question in my mind for a long time and figured it would be stupid to ask here but I just said f***k it after hearing one park at the market in the corner of my street. Have in mind that I don't know much about engines and the specifics of the trucks, just that I play them ingame and see them irl.
Question - Brazilian Scanias and mods.

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check chapters [4] and [5] of Forum Rules.

Re: Question - Brazilian Scanias and mods.
Actually there are also European Scanias that sound like that, they have a so calles open pipe, meaning that the noise cancellers are removed(which is illegal in the EU) making them sounding the same. This sound can be heard here for example https://youtu.be/Vat_oSF7YQ4
So there are probably to reasons legal reasons, defined by law and second technical reasons due to different emission standards(also varying between the different generations)
For the sound mods, I assume, it is related to the mixing of all the different sounds but also finding useable sound sources

Re: Question - Brazilian Scanias and mods.
Because all the examples you posted are 6-cylinder Scanias, not V8 like most of the sound mods you'll find for the game are. Europe obviously does have 6-cylinders aswell, they're just usually not as hopped up/tuned as is more common in Brazil.
