Spain is the 3rd country in the world with most UNESCO sites just behind Italy and China (there are 42 cultural, 4 natural and 2 mixed). There are 15 cities in Spain that have the consideration of world heritage. Some of them have a specific pictogram, others use the standart one.

A-4 Córdoba. It says "CIUDAD PATRIMONIO DE LA HUMANIDAD". I can't find a signpost with higher resolution.

A-2 Alcalá de Henares. Exit 23, not far from Madrid to the northeast.

Jaén province, Úbeda & Baeza make it to the UNESCO list.

For Ávila, Segovia, Toledo, Mérida, Ibiza, San Cristóbal de la Laguna, Santiago de Compostela & Cuenca I couldn't find their respective signposts (or different ones), I can provide you with higher definition of what I already posted some time ago, this time I got them from a nation-level source document and they are specific for UNESCO sites, they also look a bit sharper than in the older post.

First of, this is the document where I got the pictograms and signposts, maybe it is more useful in PDF before converting it to JPG.

Secondly, I included Antequera in the list of world heritage cities, which is wrong, it makes to the list on the category of natural site, not city. Located between A-92 and A-45, the city of Antequera is in the ideal place to visit Andalucía due to its convenient location, it's in the middle of the region and well connected to any major city. From the autovía, Antequera looks like a small town at the skirt of a big mountain.

It's fairly common to see these workers next to roads working in groups, harvesting trees and crops, usually with a few vans parked under a big tree shade. In most cases, they're African and South-American inmigrants and they have to endure very tough working conditions, thanks to them lots of companies have prospered.

Since most of then do not have the resources to provide themselves with private transportation, they are taken from the city at very early hours in vans, which usually end up parked next to a tree to get its protective shade.

Not far away from these plantations, it's fairly common to see storehouses with trailer loading docks.

Ebro river is the longest in Spain, it has a big river mouth with significant natural value, produced by the constant river sendiments. Lately it's under risk of disappeareance, that's preventing water transfers from Ebro to southern basin rivers in Valencia and Murcia, which rely on Tajo river to get supplied. AP-7 passes next to it and it's easy to spot it from the autopista.

There's also a somewhat long bridge over the river and two adjacent canals. There's also a railway bridge next to it some 50m west.

After the last post I found out a blog devoted to show pictures of each bridge (road, pedestrian or service) over Ebro river. This is quite a job and you may find it useful, it's rather detailed, they probably included every bridge possible.

With over 930 km of river, there are registered 185 bridges, thankfully there's a quick navigation bar (per municipality) and an search box to facilitate the research task.

Some of then may be just a cultural artifact or a building, others are entire towns & natural spaces.

I know there are no bikes in ETS nor ATS, but....

Over the last 15 years or so they have been installing motorbike barriers in determined corners to avoid bikers getting badly hurt in case of accident. Many bikers lost limbs or even died due to the severity of the wounds regular barriers can cause. It's really common to see these barriers in mountain passes, tight bends, entries or exits of autovías.

Last but not least: I don't know if there's a fitting song in Portuguese, but when you finally tease Spain for your game to use that song is mandatory:

The link is gone, here's the song again (IN CASE SOMEONE GOES CRAZY AND DECIDES TO ASK LICENSING THE SONG). It's not easy thoug, the original label (Tres cipreses) was bought by DRO, who was later rebranded by DRO Atlantic in 2000s. I think they discontinued their activity and... probably now the SGAE (Spanish Authors General Society, the organisation that regulates copyright in Spain) owns the rights... or even the original creator, Loquillo, who is still active. Anyone in Spain over 30s knows this song.

Sounds like a Spanish gypsy: it basically says "don't kill yourself on the road even if you're alone and far from your family".


There are plenty of latin songs about trucking as well, but they are not very representative for this DLC.
