Turkey pre-research tips (European part)
Re: Turkey pre-research tips (European part)
Hello SCS!
First of all, Thank you for including Turkey in the last DLC. I was very happy when I watched the announcement video.
But I suspect that the Gallipoli Peninsula will be in the DLC. I think this peninsula should be located in DLC. I want to explain why.
Firstly, The Gallipoli Peninsula is part of Thrace. (As you can see in the picture below) This means it is also part of Europe.
[ external image ]
Another reason is that the peninsula is a historical region.
Gelibolu (Gallipoli) Peninsula Historical National Park established in 1973 and covers 33,000 hectares (330 km2) at the southern end of the Gallipoli Peninsula on the European side of the Dardanelles.
[ external image ]
Gelibolu (Gallipoli) Peninsula Historical National Park is known for the First World War cemeteries and memorials for the Turkish and foreign soldiers killed during the Canakkale Sea and shore battles in 1915. There are sunken ships, trenches, castles, towers and hundreds of remains of the war. In total, there are graves and memorials of around 250,000 Turkish soldiers, and 250,000 from Australia, New Zealand, England and France.
Thousands of people visit the war cemeteries every year, and it is one of the most famous sites in Turkey. The battlefields, war graves, monuments, and war related artefacts are registered as “historical sites and objects”. (for more information: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallipoli_Campaign)
Of course, I have something to say about places connected to trucks and roads.
CITIES
There are only two districts on the peninsula. These districts are Gelibolu and Eceabat. As of 2018,The population of Gelibolu is 44,809 and Eceabat is 8,912. The distance between the two districts is 43km. Due to the scale of the game only one of these districts can be included in DLC. For Example; Gelibolu can only be shown as a sign. But Eceabat can be reached. (It can be nice to see the road between the two districts.)
Both districts are far enough away from Tekirdağ to be located in DLC. Eceabat is 193 km. and Gelibolu is 152 km. away.
ROAD
These districts are accessible by road E87 from Edirne and Tekirdağ. This road is accompanied by the Dardanelles for about 40km. Therefore there are beautiful views of the road.

COMPANIES
This peninsula does not have large industrial zones. However, agriculture is common. There are many olive trees in the region. There is an olive oil factory in Eceabat. (Location: (https://www.google.com/maps/place/Kemal ... 93!5m1!1e4) Therefore a factory can take place as a food industry.
There is a shipyard between Gallipoli and Eceabat. (As you can see in the picture below) A ship manufacturer company may be part of DLC. (Just like Balteus Yachts from Behind The Baltic Sea DLC)

BONUS: LANDMARKS
Akbas Martyrs' Memorial, which is located near Eceabat, can be located in DLC as a symbolic structure.

Hello Again SCS!
I want to give you tips and samples about the road signs placed at the entrance of a cities, towns or villages in Turkey. No doubt that my samples will be from the Thrace region. Depending on the population size of settlements in Turkey, information signs vary. In this respect, I would say that there are 3 different information signs.
1. Village or Town Entrance Signs
The information sign in village or town entries only contains the name of the place entered.
