[ATS] Dynamic Suspension for Keyboard & Steering Wheel V1.0.2 [1.39.x compatible]

This modification makes truck behavior to feel more realistic with Steering Wheel or Keyboard. This mode have "Realistic Steering with Keyboard" included. It allows you to make smooth turns on high speed without overturn the truck even if you use realistic suspension settings, in this case "Dynamic Suspension".

The steering become harder when switching direction and increasing speed. It is less harder when is stationary, ideal for parking!

Braking is a important factor in simulation and also I made some improvements, helping keyboard users also. Now braking is progressive and not so brutal as the default. You will have to use more often the retarder or engine brake.

Patch compatibility: 1.38.x ; Older versions

Connection order: This mod should be set at high priority / above other physics mod!

Mod compatibility: This mod should work with all default trucks and the modded ones!

Modded Trucks compatibility:

- NONE
- ONLY ON REQUEST!

Add-ons:

- ONLY ON REQUEST!

c_rsteersens 0.75 # Recommended!!! Or you can set slider in-game on middle.

Dynamic suspension settings:

g_suspension_stiffness 0.2
g_cabin_suspension_stiffness 0
g_truck_stability 0.25
g_trailer_stability 0.25
g_brake_intensity 1.0 # Decrease value if is too strong.

Dynamic suspension settings:

g_suspension_stiffness 0
g_cabin_suspension_stiffness 0
g_truck_stability 0.25
g_trailer_stability 0.25
g_brake_intensity 1.0 # Decrease value if is too strong.

Note: If those values isn't proper for yourself, feel free to change them.
Note*: Write above setting in console (~) after load the profile.
Note**: Lower value means more realistic behavior but high risk of overturn

Hello, you can write it in console (~) OR you can set "steering sensitivity" slider to the middle".

EDIT: Here is a image with all settings.

I think the mod will only good with steering controller. In keyboard it feel even harder in the turning.

You can adjust those sliders for the best feeling for you. The purpose of this mod is to make steering to become harder when you have speed above 40km/h.

I get an error when opening the file for inspection. It states unknown or damaged archive. Is that intentional?

Hello,

Yes, it is intentional. This is a way that my work isn't stolen by everyone and I'm trying to keep it as safe as I can.

OK Thanks. I never thought of that but you've got to do something to keep the thieves at bay.

Tiger, I have a request IF you can do it. It's on braking. It seems that if you touch your brakes about 4 times, like you were setting up to hook to a trailer and you don't get it just right you lose your air pressure, and have to sit and wait for what seems like forever to get it back up to move. Then you release the Parking Brake and hit the brakes just once and have to wait all over again for the pressure to come back up. We need a way to set an automatic transmission to neutral so the accelerator can be stepped on to increase the engine's rpm and get the air pressure back up again to have full air tanks. IRL it's done all the time with a standard or automatic trans mission. It could be a part of a Physics mod I'd think. But best separate and a standalone mod.

As for turning... I just saw this mod but haven't tried it yet.... I hope it helps fix that "runaway steering wheel" when using your mouse to turn. I have that problem every so often and it goes away, but always comes back again after a while. I don't drink if you think that's what causes it. LOL

I've hauled ass down the road to deliver new cars and trucks, fuel, freight, and produce. Now I'm ATS addicted to doing the same thing in a simulation.

What you're requesting, I don't think is possible mate... At least, not with the physics mods.
