Re: Random crashes when using Radio
Hi Tom,
Further to my previous post earlier today, I had the game freeze for a third time and I left it for well over 60 minutes, but the crash.log still hasn't been updated and there is still no dump file. I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL, but this is how I was able to get back to Windows to see that the game.crash and game.log were updated last week before I added the launch parameter you suggested for the dump file this morning.
Kind regards,
Lee.

Re: Random crashes when using Radio
After I put the radio on I check the console and got an error with FMod with the radio station listed so it’s an issue with FMod I just turned the music off and shut the game quickly so it looks like an issue with the latest version of FMod

Hi UK_Trucker_1980,
-full_dump should never take so long.
it will write down memory footprint of the game. so you can expect it to be at least few gigs large.
it will be a separate file named like this: game.crash.txt.5F3E128F.mdmp
i just did quick test and forced one crash. and got this file 2.7gb large.
so you will have three separate files related to crash. this dump file. crash log and game log itself.
i cant tell how large the file can get as it depends on how much content is installed for example.
but i would expect that if you run game with this parameter and crash will occur in matter of minutes. game will "freeze" for several minutes at most. as this dumping is quite a task especially for your disk drive which has to write down several gigs of data.

I have the same problem. ETS2 only crashes when I play the radio.

Re: Random crashes when using Radio
Hi Tom,
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.
After several weeks of listening to radio outside of ETS2, I decided to listen to it through the Sim today and it crashed within a few minutes.
This time, it appears to have generated a full dump file.
Attached is my game.log and an extract from my game.crash from earlier today. As the full dump file is nearly 3.5GB in size, how would you like to receive that from me?
Kind regards,
Lee.

Re: Random crashes when using Radio
Hi Tom,
There are three radio streams that I usually listen to. These are Smooth Radio, BBC Radio 1 and LBC. These are all under 'EN'. I don't usually listen to any other streams to be honest.
The sim has crashed whilst listening to all three of these streams, so I wouldn't have thought it would be related to just a single one.
If you want me to send you the full dump from yesterday's crash, please advise how you would like it sent to you as it is nearly 3.5GB in size.
I did have mods running at the time I hasten to add. I can try running the sim vanilla again if you really want me to. It has crashed in the past without mods though, so I very much doubt it is mod related.
Kind regards,
Lee.

Re: Random crashes when using Radio
Mine also crashes on smooth radio and also star radio , those are the ones i listen to
Re: Random crashes when using Radio
so i was able to reproduce it with "smooth radio" station.
seems like some stations stream could be able to crash our internal player. atm i do not think its a global problem.
it will be now investigated.
thanks for reporting.
