Date of Bug Report: 24 Nov 2020
Game Version: 1.39.2.10s
Operating System: Windows 10 - 64-bit
No Mods
Always Reproducible
This bug appears to have been introduced sometime in 1.38 with the introduction of the Western Star 49x. A few vehicles that previously were okay, now have bits of the headlights that should be white, are instead orange. This bug is not present in 1.37, and while I can not test previous versions of 1.38, I believe a pre WS 49x build of 1.38 will not have this bug either as I do not recall it being there before the 49x.
Tested on a clean profile with no mods + game files were verified.
game.log.txt included.
Vehicles that are effected from what I could find are:

Re: Incorrect Vehicle Lights
Another affected vehicle is the Dodge Ram pickup truck.
The rear license plate lights in the rear bumper on that vehicle are now orange also instead of white.

Re: Incorrect Vehicle Lights
It looks like it could be related to this. Seeing as none of these reports have been reviewed with a QA number yet, I wonder the changes to the lighting system that are said to be coming in update 1.40 are planned to include changes to the vehicle lights as well.

Re: Incorrect Vehicle Lights
I suspect that as well considering from what we’ve seen so far in the teasers, it appears there will be a more accurate representation of halogen lights where there is a delay before they reach max brightness, therefor, light masks would have to accommodate the delay so that they don’t appear fully on before the flare reaches maximum brightness. Hopefully they will implement both types of lights for trucks that have LED bulbs as an option.

Re: Incorrect Vehicle Lights
Unforntatunly, our speculation was wrong. This problem still exists on version 1.40.0.50 after the lighting update.

Re: Incorrect Vehicle Lights [147498]
So now that the cars are fixed, the issue with the lights on the AI trucks has returned. It seems that the cars and trucks are using the same lightmask and when one gets fixed, it breaks the other. In order to stop this cycle, the new lightmask should be created for the AI trucks is a separate from the cars.
I found that the Peterbilt 389, International LoneStar, and Western Star 49X are affected by this. These lights should be amber instead of white.

To fix this properly, the UV mappings in the truck models for the lightmasks should be set to use the "middle" positional marking light colors instead of "front".
Good to see that the white "front" positional lighting is back in the lightmasks, though.
