Doubt it since FPS drops from 60 tot about 35

No visual mods. Only some sound and UI mods.

I can't figure out what causes it and that is driving me mad.
It only happens sometimes

don't use ANY mods. no sound, no UI mods, no mods in any shape or form in the open beta.
