Hi. Some home development but will throw it out there...

-mm_no_lowfrag

With V1.39 and V1.40 the above command line switch stopped all micro stutters, but over a 1KM run i had several pauses. A few were when i was coming up to a city, 1 was at at detour, and the rest had no decernable reason. In the grand scheme of things the experiance with an owned trailer, overall was better (on my system). Perhaps someone more knowlegable could kindly explain the above command line switch.

i have the same problem with an owned trailer, out of the blue i sometimes get a game freeze for, let say, half a second.
removed the trailer and get a job that gave a trailer and the stutter/freeze is completly gone.

getting a solid 60fps at 4k with or without my own trailer but then i get the freezes(with the owned trailer).
windows 10 latest (did update everything to debug this)
intel i9-9900KF,
32GB memory 3200MHZ,
Asus 3080,
2 nvme.2 disk.

this switch prevents low fragmentation methods (pre-allocated buffers usage) for loading game resources. it complicates loading and memory management - i would expect lags AFTER you use it. the option itself is in code from 2013.

what changed in last few months was tweaked memory allocation - default memory manager pool was increased to 1G (and to 2G on 8G+ machines). you can try to play with MM setting if you find anything related to this change.
so far we were not able to reproduce the OP issue.
Nobody can tell you anything about it. Those who know about it aren't allowed to talk. And those who talk know nothing.

but how can it possibly be? all you need to reproduce it is simply attach your ownable trailer and you will get micro stutters in couple of kilometers. dismiss it and you all smooth again. anyone can reproduce it.

and there are just as many (in reality way, way more) people with different hardware and software configurations out there, it can be something in the game or it can be something on your PC with your specific hardware and software installed, i myself dont experience any lag/stutter in the games with my owned trailer that is constant, yes i do have some lags, in ETS2 more then ATS but they are random and because the game just cant handle newer hardware good

thats interesting, i mean you can try and maybe you will get zero lags without own trailer, in my case i get absolutely butter-smooth experience with lots of mods and without own trailer.

Hi. Could i ask what steering wheel those who have stuttering use? I suffer with stuttering and use a Logitech G29. Just wondering as there are not as many different wheels as thee are system configurations.
