but how can it possibly be? all you need to reproduce it is simply attach your ownable trailer and you will get micro stutters in couple of kilometers. dismiss it and you all smooth again. anyone can reproduce it.
I don't think it's as easy as you imagine it to be ;)
If it were so that everyone has this problem as you claim, this topic would not have 5 pages but now at least 200 pages :)
I can only speak for myself, I mostly play ETS2 WITH ownable trailer and I've never noticed any stuttering!
No idea why, maybe I just have a lucky hardware configuration, or just luck, I know that many players have these stutters with ownable trailers, but not all, and I hope one day we or SCS can figure out why this happens, and find an solution for this problem so that all players can enjoy this game :)
As we can see from Max's answer, SCS knows about the problem and tries to understand and solve it :)

Just keyboard and mouse no accessories

This signature virus has been spliced with the Fundementalism-B virus to create a new more contagious strain. Please look for it infecting a signature near you.

and there are 2 million people playing it, the forum doesnt say much about what the player base wants/has problems with, if SCS cant reproduce it you have to start locking what problems there are on your system, maybe try it on a different one if you have access to one ofc

I already reported that it’s not hardware related as I changed from i5 3570k / gtx 670 to a new pc with i711700k / rtx 3060 and still same problems ...thank new hardware constant 60 FPS on ultra with quick jobs , once the freight market is enabled due own trailer also 60 FPS but with micro lags the whole time. Like freezes for 1 sec , drop from 60 to 48 , 60 to 35 e.g. and then it’s rapidly shooting back to 60 till the next stutter

I've started this thread; I'm using a G920

I think you're into something.

I have a g25. Same sutters with owned trailers.
As I was testing some settings, running the game as admin has change some things. The wheel was more stiffer, like it was not using the logitech driver. Driving in spain for now, no more stutters.

That may be why some have stutters, some don't.
SCS use thustmaster wheel, maybe that's why the couldn"t reproduce the problem.

well, we test lot of hardware, actually. i use G27 and found no issue.

main problem is we do not have clue what could be related to the problem. memory? graphics card? HDD/SSD? controller? truck you are drivng? type of vegetation around? shadow and lights settings?
there is nothing to catch, so far. and random testing did not hepled yet.

just post your notices further. i hope we could figure it out.
Nobody can tell you anything about it. Those who know about it aren't allowed to talk. And those who talk know nothing.

supersobes wrote: 18 Apr 2021 19:09 Has anyone been able to narrow down to a potential cause of this issue? We know that it only happens when using owned trailers in ETS2, while the owned trailers in ATS seem to be working okay. So what are the under the hood differences between the freight market trailers and the owned trailers? And then what are the under the hood differences between the owned trailers in ATS and the owned trailers in ETS2? It's likely that the cause of the issue lies with one of those differences.
If it's not happening in ATS, then a theory could be the map size itself and the active cargo market generation for it to be the cause of micro-stutters, since ETS2 I believe has the bigger map with all DLCs.
Maybe a similar issue to the hired driver issue a while back? Potentially the stutters will manifest in ATS with more map DLC releases if this doesn't get fixed soon
